new 45rpm denim

saw two new models in the 45rpm store today.

its cotton that's dyed both weft and weave so its a really really dark blue- and the inside is dark blue also since both of the threads are dyed. they had it in one wash and distressed (the distressed ones look more like "denim" while the one washes look kinda like dark blue workpants). nice stuff.

wow, it looks darker on the inside than the outside. i don't think i quite understand the concept of this, yet. is it like it's designed for people who don't want their jeans to fade over time?

they're distressed on the outside that's why.

would they look really "heavy"? like overly blue denim. i'm not sure how best to put it. almost like technicoloured denim, i suppose.

based on that teaser pic they look awesome - 45 RPM can do no wrong when it comes to denim. Plus I don't think any other jeans go so perfectly with Yohji Yamamoto clothing, shit is like a match made in heaven.

i saw the distressed ones in nyc was there the other day, they look nice overall the denim is faded, so instead i got the one wash jomons.

question for those with teh jamons, i washed them cold last night, call me a neat freak but since i knew other people probably tried them over time i wanted to clean them before waring them for 6-8 months with no wash, i know this is a sort of lame question but it doesn't appear that any color was lost, so is it correct to assume that they will break in fine even though i washed them the first day i got them?

SBRguy, I always wash (inside out) my jeans when I first get them and even run them thru a dry cycle, to get all possible shrinking out of the way up front. None of mine loose any indigo that I can tell.

unless it's some cheap-ass denim, a little wash here and there is completely fine.

Damn. I'd been pretty good of late. Happy enough to stick with the jeans I already own and resisting the urge to make any unnecessary purchases.

But I seriously need to get a pair of these. Any idea what the cut is like? Traditional 501? Loose? Fitted?
