How long can customs hold a package?

I bought a pair of jeans and tracking said it arrived at customs a week ago and there hasnt been an update since.

canada will hold your package until it gets old enough to meet other packages, have baby packages and raise them.

does anyone find fred perry polos fit really short on the body? i love the colours but i have found they are just really boxy and not long enough for me (both the normal and slim fit, although slim is better) - in every fit i see online they seem to appear fine, though. what alternatives are there for polo shirts US $120 or less? i am 6'2/162lb.
