well actually, just about every japanese company makes a nice repro. but sugarcane especially does this well. though they didnt do it for the 47s, they even constructed the 55s and 66s in the USA just to be true to detail.

in all actuality though, you cant make "museum grade" levis. well you cant mass produce them at least. not only would you need the same looms that levis used, but youd need to use the same cotton in order to get te same effect. sugarcane uses like 40% zimbabwe cotton, which has totally different attribute, because the cotton is so long. i suggest either buying vintage or buying japanes.
