I'm pretty disappointed with the outcome. I really wish I could have wore them longer. I would estimate 12-14 months of solid wear. They went through 4 or 5 rounds of crotch repairs. The last repair was done and they tore a day later so I gave up, this was around the time I posted last in here. I can't wait for the day that the crotch is not the weak link with heavy denim.

Everyone's pairs look so great. Dingo that pocket shot is pretty epic.

Wear: Jan 1/11 to Jan 5/13. I didn't wear it as much during the summer of 2012.

Washing: 1 wash at the 1 year mark.

Soaks: 0.

Memories: Immersurable.

Damn, lot of crazy denim these past two years! Just gettin mine in before the buzzer, all "repairs" done by me with extra fabric cut from the pocket bags...

#36 - IH-634S-RAW 21/23oz denim

i first went into the contest with a pair of 18oz IH-666Sod, but since i haven´t worn these enough in 2011 to justify keeping them, i went on and bought a new pair in december 2011!

now i´m wearing this pair since the 1st of january 2012, so it´s 13months now!...

already looking forward to HWDC2 and to HWBC...this time i´m going to wear the jeans and boots the full 2 years! really looking forward to that

What news from the judges of the competition?

I get that the spirit is to produce examples of well worn denim, but after all this is a contest so there must be a winner.

Who will be crowned (...or belted?) the Heavyweight Denim Champion?
