I am back in central Nebraska.

It was crazy trippy. To express how serious the storm was, they almost called the local HS football game for weather... I think they got through all four quarters before the first signs of any 'real lightning'.

Robbie, those photos of yours are lovely! The portrait has this vintage feel because of the tones. And that sunset - wow! *Must have been quite a rainstorm - it has that somewhat eerie lighting that usually precedes a real humdinger!

So my long weekend update - we did indeed get up to our friends cottage, and the timing couldn't have been better! The fall foliage is in full bloom, and that lovely crisp autumn smell is in the air. I tried to capture the spectacle but my photo skills don't do it justice!

We spent the first day just lazing about. The only bad part about fall is all the wasps! *I got a couple of stings on the arm, which wasn't too bad. But then one of the little suckers got me on the back of the neck - and that HURT! I did the whole running around, flailing my arms wildly, and screaming like…. *Well, like a girl!

Thankfully, no one was cruel enough to take photos! *I got quite the swelling - I'm just happy that I'm in no way sensitive to the stings!

After that little episode, we decided to venture a little further afield & explore.

An enterprising farmer had a cool display to attract potential pumpkin buyers!

I was more interested in whether the mannequins clothes were vintage, but no luck!

We spent another day climbing. It was only a couple of pitches, but fun nonetheless!

Riff - this one is for you: we found a hawk watching area. Sure wish I had a big telephoto lens *- they were still awesome to watch.

All in all, a super relaxing weekend. A few more images to leave you with the sights of fall!

Went to the clinic this morning, bright and early, no one else around...so I figured more photos of the street art just outside:

Weird part of town - along the same graffiti-heavy lane way is one of the most regarded fine dining restaurants in town, a hipster coffee-nerd hang-out, and a homeless/IVDU clinic.

Anyway, inside the clinic:

Provides the homeless/marginalised with food, water, necessities for safe sex, showering/bathroom/laundry/internet facilities, all kinds of allied health & doctor consults.

There's a leisure room as well:

Went out on a field trip first thing in the morning, visited this homeless man in the city...dude killed a pigeon for breakfast! Was really surprised to learn about the various lanes and alleyways in Melbourne from a different perspective...all the OD hotspots, squats, etc.

Off to a community radio station for some public health promo. It was good, since I didn't need to talk

I just wanted to check in as the newest member of this fine contest. This pair has moved from Louisiana to Pittsburgh, PA, which is a lot like Seattle but with much better professional sports teams. I mention this because the constant rain and gloom has put a damper on decent pics of these. So move over Joseph Hill, your self proclaimed worst pictures trophy may now be permanently entrenched in my hands.

Despite the lack of decent full length and fit pic shots I was able to capture a few macros to show how this particular pair is faring.

Not a ton going on so far, but they do have a nice steel gray feel.

Some of the deep blue is still around.

Uh oh, not sure what to do with this problem.

I plan to reinforce this today.

And of course, the obligatory crotch shot that this thread thrives on.

As soon as the weather cooperates and I can get a decent fit pic I will. And sorry for the long post, and hopefully my shots will get better (they can't really get worse).
