finally got to take the 50L to the city! I have a ton more pictures but I don't wanna post them up all at once.

Haha really? Usually it really isn't that sharp. But I am VERY pleased with the photos from NYC (they are all awesome). If you want to know something - just get a Sigma 50 1.4. That is the next step down and it's 1/3 of the price of this lens.

the first picture looks pretty sharp, could be because of the b&w though. And yea I've resorted to the 3rd party lenses since I'm still in school and can't afford the L's =[, just bought a tamron 28-75 2.8 on potn. Had to sell my 70-200 f4L for it though.

Actually now that I look back at them most of the pictures are really sharp. Honestly of all the pictures I have taken with this lens never have I seen such good results. POTN is the best though, that is my new favorite site

i went to see claude young this weekend. I really like taking pictures at these parties, but it's so hard to focus/get decent ones. wish I had better equipment

thanks. i was visiting my boo in her home Lausanne. She works in Geneva, so i'd spend some time there too. Guy with the cow is her uncle. He's the one that took me up in the glider.

okay great.

was in geneva a few weeks back, but just for playing soccer in their staduim.

maybe i'll need to check out the rest of it too ...still have 3 weeks here in switzerland.

Love the pp on this shot and the noise really does make this shot work.

3 more of my friend.. then I'm done with him.

I actually took this one and was kind of eh with it. Then someone pointed out the reflection and I realized that I love this shot.

I know... sorry for adding a ton of photos at once... But hopefully you all enjoy them!

thanks dude. really didnt expect the 2nd shot to work. it was mad dark out and really spur of the moment. i was very stoked when i checked my screen after i took the shot.
