i actually prefer the one with the texture, but i'm not sure if it's because of the quality or because of the subject...i think that photo is the most succesful of the ones you took

The river behind my house is usually dry, I took pictures of it last month: It still looks fluid, even though what's left is static sand and rocks. Click pics for hi res:
