I had the same happen with a fairly new pair of LVC 33s, when cinching them real tight. The LVC shop, despite being named Cinch, couldn’t replace it.

I love cinches they’re so cool! I don’t know if I’ve ever cinched any of my pants up tight enough to do anything to the fit, but for me that was never the point. Bonus points if your jeans and jacket BOTH have cinches.

on a few pairs, the cinch broke. The tension it gets when bending broke the metal. I stitched them up.

He was killed in Korea a year or so after that photo was taken, so the fit is long, long gone. I do know that my dad wore my grandfather's M1943 field jacket until it fell apart though.

Flat Head 3003xx. Also, video fit version on Instagram. Absurdly rare and special dead stock pair from the pre-lawsuit era of TFH, made between 2004-2007. Flat Head's WWII model, with olive herringbone pocket bags, no coin pocket rivets, painted arcs, red tab, regular rise, straight leg. I got this pair about a year ago off Buyee and finally got around to washing these, and I'm in love. Easily the best fitting TFH pair I've worn. A very unique and special pair.

Lvc buckles are notoriously weak due to them being pressed steel pieces. Sure that info is buried deep in the lvc thread somewhere. I've busted a couple of lvc buckles but never a Lee buckle, thought they were made of sterner stuff.
