  1. I don’t wear these 1947 jeans as much anymore but they’re looking great. I’ve the last round of repairs on the fabric and stitching fixes, i leave them as only occasional wear so they don’t get too messed up.

  4. Update on my 132s, they have been washed four times now i believe and worn close to four months. Got bitten by a german shepherd a couple days ago, fortunately not hurt badly but the dog did tear a good hole in the left thigh. You can see how little the indigo has faded compared to the fresh hem scrap i patched it with. In the mountains of Veracruz, super beautiful and not too hot this time of year! Riding south this morning:

  8. Edit: I wasn’t feeling it. Been leaning more into the 70s vibes lately, and going to a show later in Richmond, so decided to reall lean into it today. Also did some fresh repairs to my Korean War M-52 with some Samurai scraps I had laying around. vintage/amanda shires/full count/red wing

  11. I get my hat repairs done at Joyride Vintage/ Garrahan Hat Co. in Orange, CA. Last time I was there I bought this latest addition to my collection. It's a Knox. I didn't yet have a hat with a turned up brim & this one filled the need.

  13. ^ I think @Flash sold all his Nippers to Tony at https://www.fulmine.co.uk/collections/nippers and looks like there's still some available. Top kids jeans - Ryan knows his stuff and his lad looked super cool in them.

  15. Ah, my real life worlds colliding on niche internet forums. Have met John a few times at Cub House events and he's always been nice. Jealous that you live in Santa Fe, jealous of the Omnium and jealous of how those 1004s look!

  18. any employee who speaks poorly of Rick Owens publicly or privately is made to sit on a metal uncomfortable chair in a dark chamber listening to music that alternates between romantic era classical music and abrasive industrial music until they come out looking like a ninja alien. we do a similar thing if someone speaks ill of Toyo except they're made to sit in an almost period correct 1950s bedroom complete with asbestos in the drywall and made to listen to rockabilly until they come out wearing a full denim tux. we take things very seriously.

  22. @jkbrwn John is a good dude. Him and I interacted a bit in LA, but I now see him way more since moving to Santa Fe. @MJF9 Thanks for the link, might be some Nippers under the tree this year.

  23. Lovely photos. I second looking out for a pair for my son. He's in an outdoor/forest based preschool and I know he would shred them. He's finally probably old enough to wear a pair of those Nippers, but it seems like that didn't stay afloat. I wonder if they're still out there?

  27. For those that have several pairs of FW, how did you size for the 1947? I was told they run a little bigger so I'm wondering if I should size down 1? I have both the S601xx and 1951 in size 32 and they fit great.

  33. Unfortunately, yesterday I was involved in a hit and run on my moto. They caught the person later on. I'm in ok(ish) nick considering BUT the FC didn't fair the best. Not super crazy, I wish I had the same denim to patch it up. Second day of wear 😂

  38. Enjoyed what's remaining of the fall foliage in Ohio this weekend. Brother and I went for a mountain bike ride Saturday morning. Some dude was posted up taking pictures on the trail and got these pictures of me and him. Then my girlfriend and I went to Holden Arboretum in the afternoon. There's a canopy walk at the arb that I'd never had a chance to check out cos it's always been closed when I've been there, so we were excited to find out that she could take her wheelchair along it. Then on Sunday my band opened for Earth Crisis which was pretty wild. Never thought I'd get to say that. All in all it was a great weekend.

  39. 15yrs ago.. i bought a bunch of JMC sweatshirts 10yrs ago the gray one, still looked like this ..and today, i've never worn it for work ..bit of bleach.. bit of bitumen ..even though it's battered, and by far the most worn of the bunch, i always choose it from the wardrobe.. i can't help it.. it just feels so comforting i think that'll only change when i buy a new one to replace it.. alas, with McCoy's prices
