  2. I like the fatigue shirt jacket I have from them! Good fabric and construction. I imagine their other items are solid too.
  3. Yeah rise is very tricky. I always take it into account but I don't generally wear jeans with as low a rise as the 711. I think I probably have a bigger waist to hips ratio than most so the rise makes a bigger difference. Otherwise I like the fit and the denim (and the short length for summer) so I'll probably get the 34 once I manage to move the 33 on.
  4. Today
  5. Sorry to hear that! Factoring in the rise can be tricky. All I can say I have the SC1943 and SC1946 both in W34 as well as the 711 and the latter feels smaller.
  6. The 33 didn't work out. It seems the difference between my true waist and my hips, where the very low rise 711 sits, was greater than I thought. So these are now in the sale thread.
  7. Resolute 711 size 33/32 BNWT £120 plus postage Photos on request
  8. ^ I remember seeing a pair of these where the pocket patch stitching had come undone. From the outside it's blank rough-out leather, but underneath it was a standard Evisu Godhead patch, turned over and cut in half! I liked the make-do attitude. Lovely jeans, in any case
  9. IIRC, BEARS did this already 2 years ago or so (just check this thread) and also because of FC not wanting them to undercut the overseas retailers. But the prices went back. We will see what happens.
  10. I might have a boot problem... New to me Vintage late 1940s/ early 1950s Nocona "Pee Wee" cowboy boots with hearts and wings inlays in dark chocolate brown. Possibly Kangaroo. Vamps are impossibly soft and relatively unblemished given the age. See the ad below. The shaft has a few tears that will need repair but otherwise these are built like tanks. Nearly 75 years old! They definitely don't make them like they used to. Obsessed with the elegant profile of these. The unique shapes of the vintage lasts they used to use on boots were much more interesting and elegant than the generic modern ones. Like a vintage Coca-cola bottle compared to modern can. Curves all day. Look at that waist! The taller underslung riding heels certainly help. Big shout out to Jane and Taylor @theshopoutpost for going above and beyond the call of duty.
  11. @nick682 Celluloid seems to still have the older prices - 2102 is listed for $260 USD rather than $450 at Bears. Same thing seems to be true for 0105 and 1101 pricing
  12. i vouch for @Deadassb too
  13. Been swapping out used toilets all week at work. So tossed the OOE in a wash to get the nasty shit off literally. This person was blind and living in filth. That’s blood and shit in the toilet. Quite depressing and eye opening.
  14. @AlientoyWorkmachine Mine too! I got 4 pairs for the price of 2 or something. I knew it couldn't last
  15. Props to @Deadassb for being down for a last-minute in-person meetup audible. Now I know he is both a trustworthy seller AND a cool guy. Would trade again anytime!!
  16. Bears told me that fullcount made them change their prices to match overseas prices. RIP to that good deal
  17. Yesterday
  18. Yes, at their expo in Paris last summer they explained that they've tweaked the fit on all their straight leg jeans starting this season.
  19. @kiya Curious about the SD-101, is it a newer version of the existing SD-101 cut?
  20. I was waiting for like a year to buy a pair of those. I gave up and assumed that they weren't going to make them again and bought a pair of Sugar Cane black 1947's a few weeks ago. Oh well... the SC's are still a good pair.
  21. @CSL Nice to see someone else has to deal with cattle sometimes, so not just me 😅
  22. Great adventure @CSL, it was like an episode of Yellowstone! Now if you could only tell us which shirt and jeans the rancher was wearing…?
  23. In case anyone is interested, I stumbled across what seems to be a very good condition for a pretty good price for a pair of size 33 2101 Leepros https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auction/yahoo/input/h1104414259/
