i wanna see some more pics of nicely faded black jeans! i got some black slim jims and im growing impatient of the slow fading

im in the process of deciding what my first pair of real jeans will be. i'm interested in black jeans that are not too slim, if not a bit relaxed or loose, but straight fit is still fine. right now im trying to decide between a pair of samurai s5000bk's or the black iron heart 21oz jeans. anyone have these who can give me some feedback on as to how they fit, feel, look, etc., etc. which one would be a better choice? and if possible can i get a pic on how the black iron hearts fade? i've looked but couldnt find anything on them. i heard that they don't fade much and when they do they fade into a dark blue because they are not really black, but dyed a really really dark blue color. is that true? anyways thanks for your feedback.

i would say get the samurais. i have both in indigo but the only thing i like about my iron hearts is the 21oz. selvage. The quality on the IHs is good but extremely basic. theres nothing really special about them.

the samurais however are extremely stiff with amazing details and unbelivable denim.

at first i didnt want sams because i thought that was kind of hypebeast, but i do not regret getting a pair.

best denim ive ever felt.

The Sams are true black dyed (sulphur). And they will fade.

I believe the IH's are overdyed? Dunno how they fade.

i got them from c-point too. i like them, but they are more of a dark grey than black; the sam's are definately more black than these. i kinda wish these had black or grey stitching instead of the brown stitching, i think thats the main drawback for me (still looking for grey jeans with black/grey stitching).. the samurai bk's have the tonal stitching, plus the denim is a lot thicker. the studio's are slim, supposedly the same cut as the 103, but i dont own that one so i cant make a comparison for you. its safe to go 1 size down, so if you're looking for something even more slim, that is an option. also, when mine were raw they smelled like sulfer, i guess from when they dyed the denim black.

thanks. i guess i wasnt paying attention when i went through this thread page by page. didnt dawn on me that they were the same jeans. not a big fan of slim fit jeans though. guess ill have to look at the measurements to see how slim they are

I bought some $25 dark black Levi 505's from Ross or something for work. I just bought them for uniform and I'm not expecting anything, but I was just curious on whether or not I'll get some fading off of them?

to be honest iam not that good in denim langage but i will try to express myself correctly.

I have looked for a normal black pair of denim (selvedge) : denime, samurai, full count got the ones iam looking for. But i think it will take lots of times for them to fade (as it takes lots of time with my blue samurai and blue fullcount)... so iam also looking for something already faded... but not with holes etc... a black/grey that has faded a little bit and selvedge would be fantastic.

Similar thread over at Style Forum, when replying it occured to me just how many options there are......

Samurai s5000bk, regular ( and will allways be regular, I sized down 2 and they are still regular sillouette ), awesome fade qualities, 17oz, hardcore jean.

Also samurai have mentioned on ringXring that a black 710 will be re-released this is slimmer tapering sillouette, whereas the s5000bk is a straight leg.

Nudie and APC and various other brands make black jeans, I dont know if any of em are selvedge or not though.

Also there are those yummy SDA's, god they look cool, the 103 slim cut, wow super nice, serious denim.

Basically I think if you're prepared to look abit and take your time searching the brands and rakuten etc you have many many options, im sure there are three times more options than ive actually listed - also use rakuten search! The shops ive linked are not the only places to sell these jeans.

i actually was having a ton of trouble too with black jeans because I wanted like pitch black that wouldn't fade in a week yet still being really skinny, and so I was at Zebra Club in Seattle and picked up a pair of smooth company jeans for 150 and I've never been happier with a pair of black jeans. They are very lightly waxed and seriously I wear them all the time and there is not the slightest bit of fadage. They are really nice feeling too. I'll post some pics later on, they are tailored like dress trousers but are definitely denim.

Revolve has them for 132 i would definitely recommend for black jeans

I actually wasnt looking at the slim pair but the regular cut. I didnt know that Tasuki made the regular cut in black, but i found them on some random website. dont recall it off hand.
