Oldest ever Levi Repros?

Shorty Long

Recommended Posts

The description says these are in celebration of the company's 100th anniversary...wouldn't that mean they were made in the 1950s? I'm pretty familiar with the LVC repros from the late 90s on, and I've never seen these before...the shirt at least

They're a reproduction of a pair of rust-coloured duck pants in the Levi's archives, which were the oldest pair they had until they found the Nevada jeans, from roughly the same era - ie 1880 - and in a similar deisgn.

I know LVC did a repro of these around five years ago, which looked more accurate than the example here. They were very unpopular., even though the're of a historic piece of clothing, and mostly ended up as sale items. These could well be an earlier repro, although I've not heard of one, but I wouldn't think they'll be hugely valuable. They don't look great - the quality is poor, with details such as the arcuate missing - and they're a repro of an unpopular item.
