just bought a Burton Dj Bag. i did a lot of shopping around and it came out as the best one i could find. i'm really satisfied with it, especially the headphone compartment and all the pockets it has. and it's really confortable. http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/528/b68403014ec.jpg' alt='b68403014ec.jpg'> [/img]

Courierware http://www.courierwareusa.com

Handmade bags...I carry one everyday. A small super deluxe black on black. They will do a camo one. I asked a few weeks ago. BTW...their website kinda blows....Do a google image search for Courier Ware or Courierware. You can then see what they look like. Courierware only has drawings of the bags on their site. I almost didn't buy one because of that, but am very happy that I did.

R.E.Load http://www.reloadbags.com

I have a Courier from them in camo, red lining, red velcro and red piping. I saw quite a few R.E.Load's in Tokyo

Chrome http://www.chromebags.com

From S.F. My brother-in-law swears by them.

ZO Bags http://www.zobags.com

Another S.F. company...Saw a few in Tokyo also.

BTW...try and get a bag made by people with a courier background and made in the US, or your own country. Personally I would never buy a Jack Spade....they are overpriced and made in China.

by far the best bang for the buck IS the burton dj bag. i just picked up last year's version. holds laptop, 2 cd sleeves, headphones, cellphone, the whole nine. definately worth it if you can get it cheap too. super durable!

Jack Spade has a camo messenger bag, but its a bit expensive. I have a bag from their Greene Street line and I like it a lot...

I'll second reload. I live in Philly and it's amazing to go into their shop and see what they come up with.

Their bags are really well-made and have great detailing and custom options. I plan on getting one when my 9 year old Manhattan bag finally shits the bed.

Wow so many cool independent bag manufacturers I'd never heard of ...

I dig Freitag the most for a bunch of reasons and I lusted after their messenger bag for years, but now I have one I've gone back to using the debranded plain black cordura crumpler I bought in Oz 7 years ago for £25. It's an awesome design with so many unseen ergonomic touches that keep me happy. Such a shame that when they got big they started selling their bags in wrong places and rotten colourways.

If you are looking for a leather bag, as opposed to a utilitarian one, Jas M B is one of the best companies out there. I would also endorse the Canadian Company that used to be called Rugby USA (they have a TO store), but changed their name to some number in one of the worst marketing moves of all time, and Martin Margiela bags, though these are wicked expensive. I carry a John Varvatos from the first season occasionally, but their quality has dropped off a lot recently. If you can find one from F/W 2001 or 2002, pick it up though. They are tough and nice, but really urban and cool looking at the same time. Tough to beat.

having gone through many of the mentioned bags, i wouldn't buy anything but a baileyworks or a reload. they are they only two brands that have held up. my timbuk2's eventually blow out at the seams and a manhattan porage bag i had awhile back fell the fuck apart in a few months.

... if you want durability over fashion, go baileyworks. if you want total flexibility with colors down to the stitching and applique coupled with awesome service, go ReLoad.

gonna back Chrome bags. got mine and it's taken a beating, a sleeting, some raining, and some snowing... and a bit of hail. this bag is styled for your back when you're on a bike, so casual wear might not be too ideal since it'll be on one shoulder the whole time (also depends on your load, i have a large bag and pack it to the brim a lot)

where to find the Burton Dj Bag for a good price?

check online, i googled real quick and found some site carrying it. however, they didn't carry the nicest color. just check a bit more, i'm sure you can find. you can also go to your local skate/snowboard shop, they might be sold out (i had trouble finding mine back in november) but you never know. like i said before, for the price that bag is sold, i don't think you can find a better deal.
