asian glow is crazy....my buddy turned red after watching me drink

i rarely get the glow. but ive noticed that the times i do, i drank smirnoff. ive actually tested it. flavored smirnoff gives me the glow, idk why.

I never get asian glow no matter how drunk I am and my parents aren't drinkers at all. However my brother can drink alot, but will turn red with his first sip of any alcohol so..I don't know what's going on.

Alcohol doesn't cause him to glow, it'd probably kill him (he's allergic)

its just genetics, you inherited a healthy gene while your brother inherited the deficient ALDH2 enzyme gene just the same way as siblings can have varying hair colors or inherit diseases

Ouch must've been quite something when he first found out. Was it a one sip and ambulance kind of thing? I can imagine everybody thinking he was a light-light weight at first.

my ears used to burn bright red. and i mean burn, i'd feel it.

i'm not asian. then again, i get mad brother bumps, and i don't have any of that blood either...

when i first started drinking, i would get red- especially my ears and neck. but now, nothing. you just have to struggle through it!

sometimes i catch myself not glowing but i still get real warm for like 5 minutes before i'm cold to the bone

i think it's common in asians of the mongoloid (?) origin.

I don't have the glow. I don't think it's very common among the japanese folks.
