can you restore the shine to raw denim after its been washed?

like the title says, i would like to know if it's possible to return the shine to raw denim that's been washed in cold water with no detergent and hung dry. (the type of denim in particular is nudie raw black). i hear its possible and i simply need to get some sweat/oils on it via natural wearing (maybe another 5 months without washing?), but i.ve also heard that once raw denim gets washed it.s nearly impossible to get that grayish luster back. thanks in advance for your help.

can you post a pic of what the jeans look like after the wash? im in the process of cultivating some slim jim dry blacks and am dying to see what their gonna turn out like.

how about starching/iron? seems to give my black 501s a waxy look.

I dont think its possible as I tried to do this with some Stussy raws. Lost cause.

The short answer is no. That particular flat greyish sheen disappears after the first wash. The blue colour emerges and the denim becomes a bit 'hairy'. It's partly to do with the swelling of the fibres I think; this can't be reversed.
