these are at 16" laid flat... and i haven't even broken them in (because i'm too skinny for them and i'm sure they'd stretch to a 17 and even 18-18.5 and still fit like money)

No guy, they won't, because they're 5% elastine, my niners haven't budged more than a quarter inch since I got them (probably 70 wears) and they're quite tight.

I love these, but I know they won't fit.

based on pictures of you i really couldn't see how you'd have a bigger waist than me, so take it as a compliment ;p
