so ive been wearing my diors for about 2 weeks now...i purchased a size 30 (i usually wear size 32) and when i bought these i could do every button, but not the clasp...wondering if these look good or i should have gone down to a 29...here are a few pics

Ryan, I'm guessing it was the mirror making your fit look weird since the last image looks alright, but if it's not the mirror they looked kinda tight in the thighs?

They seem really tight around the waist; I don't think going down another size would've helped. Although the last photo was decent; I think you did fine with the 30 - 31 would've worked as well.

sag them extra and beat the shit out of them for happy days.

theyre comfortable in the thighs, thats not what im concerned about (at first i couldnt do the clasp but after a day's wear they were fine)...i was looking for an opinion on the overall fit, but moreso below the knee...the upper block is fine to me

and yes that mirror has a bit of a tendency to distort images, so i guess the last picture (no mirror) is most accurate as far as the actual fit is concerned

Guesstimate with a sheet of paper 8x11,5 (wrap the 11.5 part around your thigh 2x). I am trying to decide whether to get a size 29 or 30.

idk how accurate i could do that...i typically wear a 32 which is about what i measure...i sized down 2 and could do every button but the clasp...hope that helps

yeah, i think those pictures are deceiving...if i get around to it this week, ill try to take some clear shots outside in the daylight...my mirror tends to distort things and make them look odd

edit: i actually have one shot from the front but its kinda dark...if i have a chance to take a more clear one i will but for now, heres a more accurate pic of them from the front

hemming washed pairs will make them look weird because they're treated 'special' in the hem area and you lose that part of the wash completely and the old seam will even increase that effect.

hemming raws is no problem before wearing but remember that combs etc. will eat a lot of the length.

if youre six feet tall i would never hem them

im 175cm and i dont even think mine need to be hemmed
