Growing up in China I didn't have shit in terms of physical toys. Played with these 2d plastic pieces that were like a bootleg aborted version of legos. Lil race cars covered in dirt and lead paint too. Then some friends got Famicon and shiiiiiiit was over. Contra and Double Dragon all day everydaaaaaaaaaay. Anyone else fuck with those ghetto cartridges that were like 60 games in 1, except half of them didn't work and the ones that did would be like the same game 3 times with a diff title and color palette?

Also was big on MTG for a while. Me and a friend shoplifted like a shopping cart full of upgrade packs from Toys R US and since he didn't know a lot of about Magic I took all the good shit. Had mad legends and rare artifacts and like 20 birds of paradise. Also that 5/5 flying Djinn that you could bust out for like 3 mana. Gave it all to the little bro of a girl I was with in HS when I stop playing but now I always regret not selling for $$$$ at height of the boom.

U dudes be spoiled. My family didn't get out of immigrant poverty status til I was in high school so I never got to play with all the awesome 90s cartoon merch toys. mine broke when my cousin wanted to play with my vac-man. problem was, i was already playing with one. she grabbed an arm (this is non-vacuumed mode) and started walking away. i grabbed the other arm in self-defense. the bitch, being twice my size, snapped an arm off and after an explosion of what seemed to be hollow rice, i went into toy withdrawal for maybe a few months. then my uncle bought me one of those fat grey gameboys with mario. then i discovered the cult of pokemon.

i never played doctor and shit when i was young. I moved twice when I was a kid so I didnt exactly have a stable neighborhood girl to experiment with. Closest thing I got to that was when I was in jr high and a hot older girl suspeciously liked hanging out with me and we used to kick it all the time after school. she had a boyfriend at the time that was the biggest, darkest, and toughest looking nigga I had ever seen until that point and both of which went my school. Long story short one day I went over her house for some reason and her mom wasnt home. She said she was gonna go change or something and told me to wait in the living room. I was a really good kid at the time and I didn't think to sneak a peak or just drop in on her and try to get it on so like a dolt I just waited till she was done. Later she went on to highschool and we drifted apart and low and behold she does porno and is still as hot as she was in jr high. Yeah. Being a good kid never pays off.

When I moved on up, it was Oregon trail on Apple IIe for quarters.

Seriously, no one I knew had a video game system in Australia, except for this half pinoy dude, he had the original Sega 8-bit system (Megadrive? pre-Genesis) and no one was interested because we didn't know how to play video games. We had sticks and rocks to play with, and beat on kids on the playground according to race. I don't know how I managed to slip through that one, weird.

I think Megadrive was the name for it everywhere except the US, it was Megadrive in Australia too. Master System is right, that was the 8-bit, you are a scholar Tabris. Sega was on some next shit, they were the first with the 16bit, first with CD. This girl in 3rd grade was total ugly ducking status, and she had a Genesis (in the pre-Super Nintendo days) so we were friends. I bet that girl is a hot CWG now, minus her grey plastic glasses.

my godfather had this and i always played with his until he finally got tired of me hoggin' his so he got me the exact same one but the colour was yellow..i've had every version since, the slim one, slim + colour screen, ds, ds lite, etc.

also played sega dreamcast (sonic hedgehog) & super nintendo (friend's/cousins house..my mum would never allow one in the house cos she was afraid i'd get addicted..handheld was easy for her to confiscate)
