californias are a slim straight or tapered leg, no bootcut. the detroits are the baggiest of their fits.

if you're in the us you could probably get a pair by using their contact email, though I've heard they've stopped selling that way. anyway, if you get a pair that way, they're a steal at $140 with shipping. they're 1400SEK(180USD) in Sweden which is more than the Nudie RR DS which are $265 in the US.

Yes, now they got them at http://www.fos5.com

I've did some consultation with the guys at fos5 before I purchased my Nikki Sixx. Most of the Julian Red styles are slim. This is my perception:

California: Regular top with slim leg (in my opinion similar to Nudie Slim Jim)

Detroit: Loose/baggy top with long yoke, with straight leg.

Hoboken: Super slim tapered jeans (similar to Nudie Super Slim Kim)

I guess most people will like the California the best...but if you are into slim jeans you should definitely try the Hoboken Nikki Sixx....that is the pair I got and it's the coolest pair of jeans I've ever owned/seen.

washed calis run about one size big, so I'd say a 30 in those.

on second thought, I'm a 31 or 31.5 and a pair of JR Calis w29 fit me just fine. I like to get my jeans a bit smaller in the waist.

SOME GIRLS ARE BIGGER THAN OTHERS

hey can u guys help me out. which pair of jeans the cali or them hobokens will help me get a fit like this. i can afford to go skinnier than this as my jeans have stretched a whole lot and thus look baggier now. these are a pair of size 31 denimes

damn was hoping to try for the hoboken nikki sixx. i can go slimmer than what was in the picture tho but im concerned about the rise. hobokens look the lowest rise to me cos i like to wear em low and a higher rised pair wld leave a rather droopy behind

better to burn out than fade away

if you were interested in the california v-boys

california v-boy fit. eehhh. comparing it to apcs almost makes me gag. i hate using the comparison. its almost like comparing the fit of kicks with dunks. bleh. but here goes.

california v-boys in a 30 fit like apc ns in a 28 AFTER they stretch. the thigh is slightly looser (by not that much) in the julian reds.

well i have a pair of Hobokens and Californias, and i love the fit on the hobokens they are super slim and stretchy, I did a big mistake when i bought the Californias becouse it was when i went from baggy to slim and i didint dare to wear to slim jeans and now a think the calis are to baggy! but the quality is amazing!

both models have a rather high rise, i like to wear my jeans low, and if i wear low rise jeans i show alot of body i dont usuly want to show, but the great thing about julians is that you can have the low fitting style and still have them hanging on youre waist and not the bottom of youre ass

i rest my case

i asked this in the last thread on Julian Reds but I didn't get a response -- anybody know which cut was available at the Vice store in Soho a few months ago? I tried them on and they fit perfectly but I passed on them and now I"m regretting it. I know they weren't as slim as the Hobokens seem to be, so they were either the Californias or teh Detroits.

In that case, definitely the Californias. The Detroits look almost as baggy as Nudie's Baggy Bjorn.
