Baskerville.

The best serifed font, imo.

I like Mrs Eaves or Eidetic - but then again I have always liked a lot of Emigre fonts.

people don't talk enough about serifs. I've always liked sharper stuff like Caslon, Bodoni or Didot. Sabon is another favorite of mine.

I have a strange inexplicable affinity for Minion, though it's not quite so utilitarian as some others. More for display type.

Heavily weighted fonts (Bodoni or any other sim) look to Italian for me...

I used to quite like didone fonts, not so much now though..

(almost) Everything has its use at the end of the day. I have too many fonts, but when i delete some, I end up regretting it after i see it in action again -_-

^ thanks for "DIN". it's very 2010

Yea, I was looking through and I think Gotham is a good suggestion.

I am so torn between choosing fonts right now, and I am trying to steer away from any Helvetica type fonts but they are soooooo good loooking.

Just not med weight Futura, bit too old fashioned in many settings and I think your app would look dated w/ it.

My suggestion is to go with something you can live with for a while, it's not as temporary as an ad or someone else's website or what have you.

True. True.

Also, i'm having a problem managing my fonts.

I have Replica, in regular, italic, light, light italic.... but not in one family.

how can i have the font Replica and all the different weights and slopes inside, reveilling them by clicking "the little arrow"

I use the font book in mac and suitcase fusion 2.

Thanks.

Yeah, I have that same issue with getting families to group together in linotype. I think it's probably about how they are actually organized in the folders on your hard drive, but I bet there's an easy way to pull them together in the manager.

Need an in interesting font for setting a magazine, again I understand there's only so much you can deviate before becoming unacceptable and functional. However, anyone help please?.
