Does anyone feel weird saying "Merry Christmas" these days?

What if the person celebrates Hannukah, or nothing at all, or they would like to celebrate Christmas but can't afford gifts so they're embarrassed?

It seems with all the societal correctness these days it's often considered impolite to wish someone a Merry Christmas.

I think the best advice/commentary on the matter I've heard is as follows:

"I'm not American, but I don't throw a hissy fit when someone wishes me 'happy thanksgiving' I don't sulk into a handkerchief if a Rabbi nods and wishes me happy Hanuka as I walk past him on the street. Whatever the greeting, I smile and take it in the spirit it was given."

Anyway, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Merry X-Mas, Super Kwanza, Happy New Year, Season's Greetings, See You Next Tuesday, and whatever else!
