I searched Desert Boots in the WAYWT threat and saw that someone removed the sole off of a pair of Clark's. If I bought a pair I think I would love to do this. Anyone know the best way to go about it? And is there any problems with the boot becoming off balance?

my friend has a pair of desert treks that he shaved the sole down on. i dont know if that's exactly what you wear talking about. but i think he did it with a tool that you shave wood with.

u can take it to a cobbler and im pretty sure they can do it for u..

Thoughts on these? I think they would be nice if you could remove the logo on the outside and throw some thinner laces in them. Maybe if they go on sale...

i'd say go with the black sole of the rest of the shoe was black but i think the crepe with the grey looks awesome.
