I couldn't agree more but I still like those shoes. As I grew up wearing Dr. Martins I'll admit that nostalgia may be partly responsible for my interest.

I'm honestly no specialist when it comes to clarks; I just saw these on a sale rack in my hometown, and grabbed em for a pretty decent price ($60USD).

Here's the info though;they're called metro groove (gay ass name if you ask me), in chestnut leather.

Does anyone know if Opening Ceremony puts out more than one color each season?

I've only seen one color for spring and I can't say I'm a fan but really like the sole on em. If you guys know of any flat sole desert boots, that'd be great too.

I love everything about the OCs, but especially the sole.. I'd go so far as to call it the perfect shoe.

Does anybody know where I get a pair in sz.13? Any webstores, or do you have to go direct?

Or, thinking wishfully, if anyone has a pair of them in that size kicking around, and needs the extra cash.. Perhaps we could negotiate.

Suede Clarks desert boots are pretty much my favorite shoe, but I still have one complaint. They are absolutely friggin dangerous around water. I have eaten shit too many times in these on wet sidewalks. What can I do? Im thinking about carving some shallow grooves in the crepe sole myself.

While I'm not gonna be ordering them until cold weather rolls around, how do I know which of the black Clarks Desert Boots are the actual leather ones? On most sites it just says "Black/Black" or "Black" or if it specifies suede "Black Suede". Should I assume that "Black" is leather and that "Black/Black" is suede?

They don't make it easy. Pics are never really helpful either.
