by the way why all the hate for strange fruit?

there was no hate. miz and a few others just pointed out the weirdness of the name b/c in the US strangefruit = "dead black bodies swinging from a poplar tree". also most folks knew the store didn't mean it like that. the clothes on hangers were tha strange fruit. either way--there was no hate on the store.

and i think it's unethical (read:bullshit) to censor negative comments on companies or brands that are also board sponsors--especially the way guy had his thread locked on an AV board. wayne might own the board, but expecting some ethical/common sense moderating isn't too much to ask. ...and imo the mods have been really indulgent w/ a lot of the shit that gets thrown up in Trash.

yeah but one thing i DONT remember about superfuture is wayne being active in the least. only in the past few months has there been communication between the gods controlling this forum's activity behind the scenes and it's populous. why all of a sudden the "hands-on" approach? that's what i LIKED about superfuture was that it WASN'T a bar, and i couldn't get thrown out for saying what i felt like.

i took a giant step back from the trash when there were threads getting made w/ naked pictures of ex-girlfriends. that was straight up bullshit and i even PM'd a couple of mods saying if ANY thread should get locked and deleted its that creepy hateful thing.

The signal to noise ratio and wealth of new info is relatively low on superfuture these days. I am as guilty of this as anyone else as I mostly post stupid shit in the trash or belittle people for having no taste in movies. I guess the outspill is mostly due to this temporary suckage parallel to the business side continuing its slow but steady expansion (which is a good thing but might create some tension...). I don't remember the last time I started a thread about a designer or anything cultural that might be interesting and I do it a lot more often on other forums.
