Haven't had it in forever, but was drinking Old Rasputin earlier. Drinking Yazoo Rye Saison right now, great session beer. Will hopefully be doing a tasting of a lot of good beers + my friend's homebrews on Friday, will throw up some pics if it happens.

it might just balance out the flavor since OG has a strong taste. people love their Belgian IPA so it's worth trying once. best barley wine I had used English yeast which made it really subtle for a beer that's at 12%.

I need to get my w2 already so I can waste monies on homebrew equipment.

the original release of the cali-belguque was actually pretty good, i haven't one in 2-3 years so i can't comment on recent batches. i'll probably try at least one bottle. for as much hype that lucky got, i thought it was over rated.

It's been a few years for me on the cali, and I agree, that Lucky's not THE most amazing beer in the world, but it is really good...

Anyone going to the Eagle Rock 1 Year Anniversary?

^Not going to that, but you reminded me that I am going to the Hill Farmstead Winter Rare Beer Gathering up in Vermont.

Should be a good time :D

This looks amazing, I tried Hill Farmstead - Edward when I was in VT, which was delish.

The rest of those beers they are pouring should be great too, I wish I wasnt a broke ass beer fan!

Where you from shufon? NY?

^Yeah I go to school upstate, it's still a pretty good drive from where I am but I have friends coming all the way from Nashville for it so it's somewhat about going to hang out with them as much as it is about going to the festival.

Anyway, some of the friends going have gotten to know some of the people at Hill Farmstead and they've been raving about the beer. I've yet to drink any but I'm looking forward to it.

The aptly named Great, Alpine Beer Co.'s Jack Daniels barrel aged barleywine. One of the most complex beers I have ever had

The third is clearly different, but the other two look exactly the same as my Crate & Barrel tulips (6$) made in Germany, its exactly the same, minus the logo as the one from Portsmouth Brewery that I have.

Either way your beer is awesome, keep it up.
