This guy lived up to the hype for me. One of the best.

2008 Vintage. Raspberry significantly mellow leaving a nondescript "berryness". Decent funk for a Cantillon and crazy acidic.

I've had 3 different vintages of Rose de Gambrinus, always enjoy it. Definitely feel you on the acidity though, every time I drink it I just expect to have horrible heartburn after :\

For anybody who has had it, is Ballast Point Victory at Sea worth seeking out?

Also, anybody had Alaskan Baltic Porter?

Both delicious, though the Alaskan does taste a bit contrived, if that makes any sense.

shufon: I enjoyed it, I like when they do the varieties of it during beer week. if you need a bottle or two they have it at the brewery along with sculpin IPA, which is down the street from me.

I'll go through you if I need it then ren, some guy who wants LeBleu has it on his list... he just offered me GI Bourbon County Coffee Stout, 2 Turtle Doves, and 09 and 10 Bourbon Aged Angel's Share though so I'm going for those.

I think angels share was just released this past weekend hopefully he isn't trying to charge an arm and a leg for it. lost abbey used to have decent pricing on their beers but they started to charge more as the years past. not sure if it's because of inflation, materials, or time.

I'd say 15-25 range. I can't remember if they do the big bottle/small bottle release on angels share.

I had bombers of Pretty Things Jack D'Or, Blue Hills Brewing Black Hops, and a Clown Shoes Eagle Claw Fist hoping to channel the local vibes for the Pats. Obviously it failed, so I drank a ton of Keystones for the rest of the night to drown my misery. Was pretty well toasted.

probably if you just had a healthy baby girl you should rest in the hospital... unless you're the father, then in that case CONGRATULATIONS! I'd go with a belgium but given the choices... 2008 Decadence....

Bottling a frankenstein beer this weekend. Made a 5 gallon batch of OG 1.073 DIPA, and fermented 1.5 gallons using a lager yeast (open-air fermented in my fridge...results could be interesting), and the other 3 gallons with regular ale yeast. Dry-hopped with whole hop nuggets, even! Should take a few weeks to mellow out, but I can't wait to try it.

Currently...drinking a Grain Belt Premium.

I am open to most beer, w/ a slant towards IPA and Belgian but veer from red and barleywine.

Should I give the hi% barleywines a chance? Appeal?
