tyro, im sure i can get you RR if you pay shipping cost, though i'd be worried customs will open the package and don't want to be in any trouble.

this thread had me decide to open my exponential hoppiness from the beginning of this year.

i can't wait until 2011 to get more..

Just picked up a Duvel gift set... four bottles of Duvel and a great snifter type glass with Duvel on it.

I was looking for a glass like it and then saw I can get four bottles of beer with it for like $14.00... not bad...

Just enjoying this now.

Full Sail "Wreck the Halls"

Say's it's a mix of hoppy and christmas ale... but it's not super overly hoppy. A little hard tasting but in a nice way. Very sweet with hints of citrus that linger on the tongue for quite a while.

Shot this video yesterday in Tokyo.. self service beer machine:

Tilts your glass, pours cold beer out of a keg, straightens out the glass then squirts a couple ounces of foam on top.

Sipping on Great Divide Hoss from a growler right now.. it's one of the easiest drinking Marzens I've ever had. It is spiced well but not overly spiced like a lot of Marzens out nowadays.. also the mouthfeel is a little bit thicker than others I've had, a lot of which were too watery in my opinion. Definitely recommend this one for a nice fall beer.

I would sort of hope that you would end up with a beer that's not half head and fills up the glass...

I'm guessing you've yet to travel to Japan.

Beers are poured so that 1/4 of the glass is foam. If you go to a higher end beer bar the beers end up being 1/3 foam. Most of their tap systems have a secondary button they push to spit out only foam.

This just corrected every emotion I ever had about visiting Japan.

actually it's probably advertising. When someone watches American Beer Ads... when there is a glass it's always has a huge head on it. The non-beer generations see this and think this is how it's done.

Just picked up a bottle of 2005 JW Lees Harvest Ale aged in Lagavulin Whisky Casks, a 2010 Bruery Coton, and 4 pack of Festina Peche.

Sending the Coton and JW Lees home with my parents since they're driving, going to get them at Christmas to throw in on a session with a friend in Nashville. Will post pictures at that point.

In the meantime, had a few of these today while watching the iron bowl. Pissed off at Alabama for letting Auburn come back.
