Where are LVCs made?

I think that's right, all raw are made in US, except for a few japanese made LVC. I don't know if they use one (non Levi's) factory, or several different ones. Most washed LVC jeans are currently made in Turkey, using Italian denim, although some other seasons' washed jeans were made in Romania.

Edit: I do remember expressing surprise that LVC were using Italian, rather than Cone, denim in some of the washed jeans. I was told that this was due to NAFTA agreements.

So I was looking at my Capital E Matchsticks today when I noticed they were made in U.S.A. I was under the impression Levi's had already abondoned all of their American factories. Are LVCs made in the states? I can hardly see why they would make the Capital Es in America but LVCs in Mexico or something.

they were making the levis product overseas a few years ago but they changed and started making them in los angeles. There are many mainstream brands that are based and made in downtown LA. I believe all of the LVC is made in the US or at least it was the last time I asked.

i was under the impression that 99 percent of what they make is outsourced, the exception being lvc and premium--my heshers are made in the us... everything with a leather patch, i guess.

I'd say that almost every denim company outsources production, there are only a very very small handful of companies in the world that own their production houses.

I don't really know of any company that owns it's own mill, but i do know of quite a few that owns it's own cutting facility.
