is this the same factory that make The Steam Locomotive? I'm up in near Toyooka (Hyogo-ken) where we got several stores selling Steam Locomotive jeans and apparently they are made in Okayama

Why not use (black line) denim?

This is in fact the Black Label 105 denim. It has an orange selvege line (i.e. the colour of the thread...) Not to be confused with the Yen Orange Label (i.e. Italian) denim.
