A lot of people prefer the hefty over the regular, because the added weight provides a steadier, smoother shave.

Either one is good. Merkur makes some damn fine razors.

Much better than the Mach 3 crap.

Hewsinator, I got the braid from ebay. It was only $10. I don't know if it's elk leather or not though. The seller is not registered on ebay anymore, I found this out when I was trying to leave a feedback for them.
