nyc art book fair

i'm going friday some time. time to geek out and stock up on all the arts

and fashion magazines my wallet can handle.

I went to that I think two years ago. Knowing how much you're into this stuff my advice is bring money, a lot.

last year i spent maybe 200 dollars. i ended up selling half of what i bought on ebay months later and made back 150, it was great.

Is it worth buying a ticket for the benefit preview do you think?

not really. you just get first crack at all the rare books and zines that are available, which if youre desperately looking for something by one of the publishers who is exhibiting is worth it, but otherwise, like if youre just there to browse, going on the first day will usually assure you come away with some good stuff.

im just gonna miss out on this by few days as i get over early next week,would been a nice thing to go to,saying that i think half my baggage weights gonna be taken up with books already!

Im a sucker for beautifully put together books.

P.s. - a super nice book is the recent yale pub "Poiret" book, amazing, silk bound, god knows how yale make money from this, its well priced.
