So BiG has announced a new model at their store by Sugarcane that they're currently taking preorders for. Handwoven on an old loom, dyed by hand with a light blue weft. Didn't see any updates on this yet, so I figured I'd share.

That's unfortunate, they are one of the most innovative and interesting brand on the market.

Oh, if only I had $750 right now...

agreed. little does edmond remember a time on supertalk before superdenim was created that the 1947 model was much sought after. now it seems he buys what's "hot" on the talk...well, sucks for you for missing out.

Don't you have the S0510 21oz? That is quite a baggy fit. Also, who cares what the fit is like if you aren't going to wear the jeans anyway.

Ahhh, I remember those days too. I still like the 47 model. I wear mine often. Almost every evening after I get home from work and in the morning on weekends.

$750? That's way too much. Didn't Edmond mention that they are pre-ordering at Take5 for $660? Now that I actually see the details, it's a very nice jean. I would've paid about $400 for them, but for the price that they are selling them for... just insane.
While I do think its a bit much, I think it was Nudie and their straight sven cut with organic indigo that they were charging about this price for. So looking at that and looking at these this seems a bit more valid to me.
check the sugarcane denim thread no need for a new thread on these i think
I probably could have checked a bit better, but I really mentioned them cause from what I understand this was the first time they're stateside.

I think the Japanese price is "only" 60.000 yens.

Edmond, I don't think you can compare these to the Jomons, they are too different in all levels (except for their prices). As much as I love the Jomons, I think these are more interesting because of the construction process and all the cool details.

it all depends on the viewer, but if edmond doesn't want them???????

I will admit that the front pockets aren't really my cup of tea, but the denim and the other details are rather nice.

The front pockets don't do it for me...but the back pockets look even worse...I think these are definitely for the guys that are into "historic" style jeans. Mind you, I haven't seen them on.
