How exactly are whiskers and honeycomb fades created?

Were the contrast fades made before wash or after wash?

They're created simply by wear. Imagine making a crease in a piece of paper and constantly rubbing it against something. Eventually what you'll have is a frayed crease that is thinner than the rest. I apologize for the poor metaphor, but in the same way, jeans crease, and the crease fades quicker.

Washes generally wash off the indigo from the entire jean, so in certain cases that i've seen it pronounces the fades but in other cases it just proportionally fades both the whisker/honeycombs and the rest of the jean. Hope that helps a little.

That's what I thought at first....but why would u constantly rub the front of your jean against something, unless you are getting a lap dance.

Will you get whisker/honeycomb fade just by sitting?
