When to Hem

Kind of an obvious thing about hemming, but be careful not to make them even slightly too short since you cannot go back. Additionally, take into account that the denim might keep shrinking a little bit after the first soak.

My legs are long enough that I am more worried about getting pants which won't show my ankles than hemming, but I think it is cool to leave enough length to cuff if you get bored/feel crazy.

depends on state. iowa is 6.50 other states are around the same. bigger cities seam to pay more for basic service industry jobs.

re: hemming. i have bootcuts that are really long and to keep them from dragging i wear my clunkier shoes. loosening up your laces can make a difference as well. my small bootcut denim(RRDG,bootcut ola, Crate james) doesnt drag unless i am wearing the most low profile shoe on the market. maybee you need to downsize.

i'm making 6.50 CANADIAN. thats fucking nothing. I make 200 bucks if I work my ass off.

I'm usually wearing Vans or Adidas Superstar and my bootcuts usually drag under those or just flare out around it :\
