yeah, those shoe choices are indeed errwhere. think on it some more, pick a pair (or however many you feel) up, see what happens from there. you'll either slightly regret it and find yourself pushed more specifically into a certain "style" in some other direction or really be happy with it and narrow out into whatever it was you bought.

Yeah, they are expensive. I don't really know of any alternatives - all of the good film point and shoots tend to be over-priced now.

Only marginally better performance than the yashica t4 at about triple the price (average used). but definitely a sick camera + pleasing from an industrial design standpoint.
