Vans Slip on sizing

Hey all,

Quick question regarding the sizing of Vans slip ons - do they run true to size? I'm normally a size 7 in Dunks - can I go with size 7 in Vans or do I need to size up/down?

Go into any sneaker store and try on a pair. It's not that hard

I would've gone and tried them on in a store but stores round my way never seem to have my size for me to even try on.

It'd be a good idea to try on a pair to get your exact size. If they don't cup your heel properly, they will rub your heel and ankle red raw.

I'd go up half a size (or even one full size) to compensate for the narrowness of Vans old school sneakers.

I love them but theyre killing my feet.

wear your normal size (barefoot) or go up a half size (socks)

I am a 9.5 and I went down to a 8.5 on the vans old skool and slip-ons.

same here i'm a 10.5 (sometimes 10) but my slip ons are 9.5 and fit fine with socks.

strange - i had to go up a size (vans vault editions). I am normally a nine, they were long enough but not high enough, if that makes sense

a couple people got it right. anyway go up half a size for slip ons. think about it. you literally SLIP the shoe ON. there is no laces to tighten, so the shoe obviously has to be alittle snugger. anyway just listen to my advice and you'll be fine.

sorry. "the shoe has to be snugger" quote doesn't mean that you, the consumer/wearer of the shoe has to make it "snugger." it means that the shoe is already made snugger (or smaller, does this help?)than a typical laced shoe. you dig? so size up!

what kind of slip ons are you interested in? i forgot to mention that depending on what material the vans are made out of, that the fit may vary ever so slightly.

just size up .5 bigger. suede or canvas possess virtually no size variant for the slip-on model.

i go down 1/2 or 1 size on slip-ons and a 1/2 size on old skools usually... depending on the fabric i guess

normal sneaker size for me (12). Same as dunks, air max 1, adidas dakota and such. 11 in chucks though.

Vans sizing is weird. I wear 1/2 size smaller for slip ons, but not for the w)tap releases--they have smaller/fitted holes for your feet to go through, so I had to get a 9 in the slip on.

Sk8 Hi's I could go a whole size down I bet. My 8 1/2's are still a bit loosey.
