bi bim bap with the egg on top.

i recited all the korean shit you guys told me. most of the bitches there were actually bitches. they pretty much pretended to laugh and continued to adress me in japanese.

we ended up in the private karaoke box. it cost us $500 buck each...there were three of us. the champagne was shitty, but things got better (cause in the main room, you're in front of all the other girls/patrons). the girls were crazy drunk. they basically stripped, blew and fucked my friends/etc. i can't really say online what i experienced, because i don't know who is reading this shit, but let me just say that $500 plus is worth it, if you got the money or aren't paying. we ended up in a hotel suite, and my friend is planning to get an h.i.v. test. good times! i got kinda got messed up in the bar and yelled chaji boji a bunch of times...

some korean dudes apparently wanted to kick my ass. what else is new? do alot of korean men have bad tempers? or is that just a stereotype?

$500 seems pretty reasonable considering all of the "accomodations" -- that's less than two pairs of YSL sneakers!

I don't know what it is, but Koreans get so fired up when they drink, so the slightest irritant can set em off (i.e., a half-japanese wearing skinny jeans cursing and screaming in broken Korean).

How hot were the girls?

they were all pretty hot. one was chinese, or at least she said she was. the mamasan tried to have 2 jap girls sit by us first, but they were ugly. the girls were hot, but they weren't elegant. they were professional whores dressed in slut-wear.

jajang-myun, bibim-bap : egg fried sunny side up

bibim-neng-myun : egg hard boiled

jampong : egg dropped in while cooking/boiling

fried egg on bibim naengmyun? nah man nah, I aint down with that.
Very unorthodox. I can understand the bibim-bap thing but the rest is uncalled for.
yeah seriously. i couldn't eat naeng myun with fried egg. i mean naeng myun with hard boiled egg is how its supposed to be but fried egg? naw....nasssty

Yeah, money can be dropped so easily here in Korea its fucking mindblowing. While general day-to-day costs here are fairly cheap (transportation, food, cigs, etc.), its the drinking that starts to add up and the debauchery that follows. Last Saturday, I dropped about 300,000 on just drinks and snacks but granted I partied until 6 am and hit a po-chang-ma-ja on the last run. The weekend prior to that I dropped 500,000 but that included a midnight chaji-massagi. Shit costed 180,000 but was worth every fucking Won.

As Jmatsu stated earlier, 500 can land you a decent R.S. (room salon) including second round at a hotel here in Korea. Some of the higher end venues can charge up to 800,000/head with NO touching/groping/hands-up-shirt type play. Strictly clean and the girls are drop dead gorgeous. No fun in that but these are the creme-de-la-creme type places refered to as the 10% clubs as the girls there get a commission on sales if they can persuade to get their customers to buy more bottles. Lower end places can be as cheap as 200,000/head and you get to share the experiencec of a BJ in the same room with your buddies to some cheesy Korean techno. Dirty fun by all means.

Korea is evil in this sense but I love it. Daehanmingook yo.

Remember that only certain venues will offer this service so don't pull a jmatsu and get nasty. Its the Buk-Chang-Dong rooms that offer this service so make sure otherwise you'll get your ass severely kicked by bouncers in little bowties and bad perms.

Analog - I salute you for your 1000th post wherever it may be. Wee-ha-yo.

do you guys listen to korean music?

There are (or were...I dunno what it's like now) some decent indie bands with post-rock or even jazz influences, and they never quite make it out of the underground scene.

Zam (잠) and Undies and Girls (속옷밴드) are ones I remember and recommend to people who are into postrock. I really like 잠 even though I never really liked postrock as a genre (even if some say it's not a genre, and I always liked Tortoise).

Anybody else care to share any info on decent Korean bands/music?

edit: add me on skype (designersheep) and ask for 잠 mp3s if you are interested... tomorrow.

so i read on page 5 that i'm not gonna be allowed in this shit?

Well then, I'm gonna need to kidnap your whole group and take them to the depths of Itaewon where I'll be posting threats and lame deadlines, slowly executing the oldest male members first (ddohngo or dizz?) and leaving their bullet-riddled bodies by the side of the road near Namsan 3-ho tunnel for you to find, until I do get into this.

In all honesty though, I've lived in Korea for what seems like forever, and think I last ate Kimchi about 18 months ago.

Qualifications:

-I am Korean

-I ride Seoul Metro lines 5 and 6 daily

-I have a BMW.

-I have a Prada messenger bag somewhere.

-I have attended Korea's premier women's university.

-i smoke a lot of Marlboro Lights.

-i drink a lot.

-uhh that's it.

Disqualifications:

-I don't like rice. I prefer pies and fry ups and think most Korean food is inedible and refer to it as "weeds and rice with chili pepper."

-I speak better Japanese than Korean.

-I pronounce distinguishably different R's and L's and know when to use each letter when spelling.

-I don't like holding my camera arms length away from my face to get pictures for my cyworld.

-I like black people.

-I use Mac.

-I sleep with my fan on my face full blast and haven't died yet as far as I know.
