Dry/Raw denim: Is it timeless?

I have to think: What did superfuture/styleforum wear before dry denim? And will we ever go back to that style? Or is dry denim relatively timeless--has is proven itself to be trend-proof?

denim has always been raw, and for those who love them that way (whether recent converts or lifelong tradbeasts) trends will not matter. processed denim is a more recent occurrence.

Raw denim is timeless and will always exist in someones collection. It is the heritage of the product which any great denim brand will always refence at some point.

Case in point currentl in our shop we have raw and raw selvedge denim from Acne. Imperial, and even Cheap Monday.

No, but nothing is, there was even a point in the 90s when jeans as a whole were out. Now some of them are pretty tasteful in cut and material, they could possibly keep a place in your wardrobe for a long time...

raw denim will always be around but there is currently a surge in its popularity, i.e. raw denim is the current fashion trend. Some people will always wear it and others will drift in and out as the current trends change.

I can't divorce them from the picture I have in my mind of streetwear culture at this point or the Self Edge gang. Therefore, as they represent a specific cultural moment for me, I can't call them timeless.

you ferreal? that's like flannel being in style and saying fuck it's been around forever it's the real deal do you think these guys [insert picture of lumberjacks] care about it being fashionable? just because raw denim is fashion at the moment doesnt mean it'll always be. there's trend moving towards lighter denim at the moment anyway dude.
