Question though. What exactly did you do to these jeans as for soaking/trying to shrink? Reason I ask is I do not want mine to shrink any more, but there was no roping on the hems, and this made me wonder if there is more to get through.

HEWS ... I did an intial soak of ~2 hours and then a further soak of ~4 hours if I remember correctly. For the second soak I kept the water much hotter ... I actually was topping the bath up with boiling water from the kettle every half an hour or so.

Hopefully almost all of the shrinking is out of the way for that pair.

gimme that's a reputable fit; what I was aiming for. I requested the pics man!

Ta for the help folks ... beatle if you're still getting a pair I'm sure you'll love 'em and cotton you need to get these outta retirement. They're especially suited for the crappy weather that I'm sure will be along soon. Dunno about where you are but pretty much started here on the islands already.

The hip flare is less bad than a lot of other pairs I've seen on here. As they break in it'll get better anyways. I say keep.

IDK if I mentioned this here already, but on one of the first days I had mine, I was helping lay some outdoor carpet stuff, I was not planning on it, and the guys doing it just needed a hand for a second, and got glue all over the left knee.

Anyhow, mine are on almost a month now and have not stretched nearly as much as I thought they would from reading all the Sammy stuff.

Guess I will try to get some fit pics up soon...

Yeah - Cotton - had to pull the trigger on the Jin's ...and I always size up 1 with Samurai...but I doubt I'll be wearing them in combo with the jacket..that would be too much....

Well, the fading is unusual (which is good in itself), but I don't like that color too much.

It's the crosshatch denim that might make the fading appear, well, different. I don't usually like crosshatch unless it's faded to a pale blue. I hope these to be the exception of course
