I got some of the new Weavers from Hanon and ordered the same size as my Desert Boots and they're perfect.

I wear:

9 in Weavers

9 in Desert Boots

8.5 in Wallabees

Tried searching this thread, but I couldn't find an answer. I got beeswax desert boots today, and I'm wondering if I'm supposed to apply oil/leather conditioner to them before I start wearing them, or further down the line?

^further down the line is fine. I think they look better if you let them get scuffed up and a little dry, and then clean and apply Obenauf's conditioner. Just don't let them get too dry and cracked.

Brought both my Wallabees in today for a re-sole as I've worn down the bottoms so I'm walking on the way outside of each foot - pretty uncomfortable.

Shoe man had a plantation crepe sheet that was much firmer than the gummy original sole. he said it will hold up much better than the original but looks exactly the same. pretty psyched, pics to come.

also brought in my RW 875's to have some lug soles put on to replace the crepes. anxious to see how that one will turn out.

keep in mind, desert boots are going to stretch a bit as well. every pair i've had also kind of hurts the top of your foot until the suede breaks in. after that though, they're like socks.

yeah, im usually a 12, wear a size 11 desert boot. rubs the shit out of the back of my heels for about two weeks but they're good after that...
