I really wanted to see the end of that game yesterday, but due to an 8:30 class, there was no way that was going to happen. I was glad that the Red Sox won (no offense Kiya), mainly because of the fact that I hate the Yankees with a passion. Let's hope that it stays like this for the rest of the season.

  • 4 weeks later...
i havent been reading up too much on baseball in the past little bit with hockey/football going, but I seem to be the only passionate Detroit Tigers fan on superfuture, so I have to say that assuming the bullpen stays healthy, the Tigers are a top prospect for AL champs in 2008, and they will 100% win their division.

wow, what are the tigers now, 6-13? Jesus christ boys, I'm going to just not talk about the Tigers for the rest of the season.

I love Manny Ramirez though, and i really hope Boston wins the world series again, they got a good squad.

When we doing a baseball outing?

I'll hook up the tix with my season ticket discount..

We can do an A's game or Giants game.. Or the best of both and see the Giants vs. the A's..

The Mets are my favorite NL team, although I did find myself on the loosing end of a $150 bet when Johan Santana fucked up his shea stadium debut.

Hawkeye said it though, consistency from Delgado, Beltran and Castillo + a healthy Sanchez and other relief help is the key. I think the mets will be just fine.

And cudos to Oakland for a terrific start, I've always been a big Dana Eveland fan.

Looks like Im going to be talking about everyone's else's teams this year but mine, Tigers need a pitcher to make it past the 6th inning for fuck sake, string together a couple must need wins and try to be a .500 ball club by end of May.

kiya all I've got to say is.. at least you're not a Giants fan.. or are you one of those guys who rides the fence?

The Giants might be the worst team in baseball to be a fan of right now.. except maybe the Pirates ;) At least we have some young guys, finally.

I actually enjoy going to games at the Coliseum.. I think AT&T's a little overrated, and I've eaten enough garlic fries for the rest of my life..

Oh hell no.. I'm 100% about the A's.. Going to ATT Park feels more like going to an amusement park than a baseball game to me. I prefer the grittiness of an old school ball park like where the A's play.

Oh for sure, I'm with you on that one. With the Coke bottle slides and all that, AT&T feels like some sort of entertainment complex instead of a baseball park. Everything about me says I should be an A's fan--I also love watching young players and Billy Beane's GMing style, but I'm not a flip-flopper, so I'll stick to my Giants even through the hard times..

So I'm guessing you're pretty pissed off about the "Oakland A's at Fremont"?

I figure i'm working from home more than ever these days so it's worth the $200 just to see the A's games that aren't normally televised in my area plus some Met's games.... I just need to put a price cap on how much i'm spending on baseball.. this plus season tix to the a's is not a good look at the end of the season.

When you put it that way, $200 sounds reasonable,(I thought I paid more last year but what the hell do I know) It may be time to call my close friends at comcast.

So you're saying that not every A's game is televised in the bay area?

i'm tempted to do this myself. practically can't get any yankees game over in the left coast.

Do it dude.

It's going to be worth every penny.

When you coming up to SF so i can take you to an A's game?

A's x Yankees?

early season baseball is so miserable..

did anyone else see that the yankees can no longer eat candy in the club house? haha

and nice pickup on MLB extra innings.

how does it work in the bay area? do the a's and the giants each have their own channel?

I'm not sure, it's being activated today..

In response to watching the Giants.. I'd rather watch a Nationals game.

Kiya - Word is the A's are giving the Big Hurt a hard look, maybe all the Giant's/Bonds fans can see what a naturally good hitter looks like.

Sounds like a nice place.
