I'll be there for black lips ..

Also on Aug 9th Friday .. Growing is playing at death by audio in BK .

Heard some new songs off their album , and im excited as always..

black lips were great as usual; however, deerhunter really blew me away.

Just found out about this and bought my ticket immediately.

October 13 @ the Bowery Ballroom

The Dead C, Sightings, Northampton Wools (Thurston Moore & Bill Nace), and King Darves

nice one, they were great the last time around. didn't see this mentioned anywhere either

btw there's a retrospective box set scheduled to come out around that time - vinyl and cd... wheeeeee

What made you choose Saturday? I saw that the tickets for that day sold out fast, but I don't see why especially. Probably my personal taste just leans towards Friday's set. I am so angry that Andrew Bird and Girl Talk are playing opposing stages though.

andrew bird! and new pornographers this saturday

He's wonderful in concert. Just wonderful. Really, one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to.

i've never seen radiohead live, so friday was appealing too. but i love chromeo and animal collective, can't wait for them, and i've seen Girl Talk before so that made the decision a lot easier. if i were you i'd go to Girl Talk over Bird, imo a wild dance party will be more fun. looks like i'll be staying at one stage all day though. are you taking the ferry to the park? anyways, should be a great show on both days!

I saw Dear Hunter. Kinda suck. Deerhunter aren't much better and Bradford Cox is a weirdo

Deer Hunter...i think. I checked out their recorded stuff, but didn't really care for it, but live was another story.

Anyone go to the pool today? didn't really have any desire for a folky show and the weather was dubious. The felice brothers are huge in my old area and haven't really gotten into them.

anything worth checking out this week in bklyn?

I'd like to see wilco, but don't want to shell out $40.

Probably going next sunday for aesop, but depends on the crowd.

radiohead killed it on saturday at apw. it was my first time seeing them and they're definitely one of the best shows live.

I don't even listen to Radiohead, and I thought their show was pretty tight. Ended up going to see Girl Talk, oh my god, that was a good decision. Amazing set.

Although, ferry was hella expensive, and I'm glad I didn't stay till the end of Radiohead or else god knows how long I would've had to wait in line for a ride. Also, beer corrals were ridic.
