i never understood japanese knifes, like you buy a cheap 5$ knife, and it's sharper than the knife my mom paid hundreds of $ for. the fuckers are so sharp i'm always scared whenever i cook...

Not too sure about Japanese gardening tools, but they sure make awesome knives.

My dad also feezes with the japanese gardening tools, he's a sucker for anything with a slick design. But the quality is still good, we've pruned many a tree with ours.
