The ones you got were a limited special edition that Adidas made just for the gay market. They wanted a shoe strictly for marketing to the homosexual community and those Stan Smiths became a legendary hit and a calling card of sorts for gays everywhere.

If u dont want to answer it or u dont know how to answer it~ just shut ur dirty mouth~ stop making this stupid garbage reply~ its ridiculous and foolish behavior~

those are not the original stan smiths the originals didnt have a picture of him on it. i bought the green ones you show there from an adidas outlet about 4 years ago. they sold for $15 a pair. they had the white smiths in trim colors blue, green and black. damn i wish i could time warp.

i remember seeing those a couple years after the first time they made the stan smiths. the gold ones must be just an extra color.

The gold one is a reproduction of the very first stan smith from the 1960s. Issued in early 2006 and made in a more glossy (better?) leather than the normal green label stan smiths. The gold label and the slightly yellowish sole is meant to distinguish it from the less expensive green label stan smiths. I have the exact same pair.

This is correct. They're known as the "Stan Smith Vintage" Still looking for a pair in a size 9.

Wait, where did you get the pic of the green label SS? The SS II's tongue label just says "Stan Smith", no pic of his face. I think the pic you posted is of a older pair of SS because not only does it have a pic of his face but the tongue is flat dense foam and not padded like the Stan Smith II.

Check Eastbay.com and you'll see the label on the tongue of the SS II.

There is a ebay seller who sells a bunch of stan smith vintages in his ebay store. All different sizes.

Search ebay man. I think it was in ebay stores, not just ebay auctions. Search both parts of ebay for "stan smith vintage". You'll end up finding a lot of them sold by one guy. He gets them all sizes for about $50. Email him and he'll give you a website where you can order from. I don't remember all the links. Urban Outfitters had some on their website for sale.

no. true to size. you could size up a half if you want, but you really don't need to
