classy members we got here...

are there more civillized folk who would like to share their thought?

Bah, what do you expect us to say? No, we don't have that problem... and I'm telling you why you do. I also already told you that if you go to men.style.com you'll find a LOT of guys with the same problem... I'm sure they'll be glad to help.

Your problem is that you're a confidentless thumbtack stuck to a porno mag tear-out on your friends' wall.

Basically, you need to find some confidence. And, you know who used to have shit tons of confidence? Men.

I'm not advocating you start getting into cars, but start getting into something manly.

There's a wide world out there of awesome shit. Become an expert on beer. Start drinking nothing but scotch, straight. Say shit like, "How about we retire back to my place for a nightcap?" Learn a thing or two about biker gangs in America. Start a fight with someone who deserves a beating. Stand up not only for yourself, but for people around you. Don't be afraid of insects. Fuck her harder. Stop crying.

And above all else, be funny. A few recent studies have indicated that the one quality women appreciate most in a man is their ability to make them laugh.

tried this once .. ended up with a bloody nose and a black eye turns out the guy was a boxer ....

most of the girls i go out with enjoy that i can go shopping with them and not be bored.... i can even criticize their clothes selection .. and they enjoy it .. and yes i still manage to "hit " some of them afterwards...

I am not into cars, but I can appreciate them. From an aesthetic standpoint, I absolutely love the Audi 90CS

with that said, I think having a hot girl on your arm will earn you much more respect than a car. Case in point: I have a smokin redhead with stunning eyes and a "christmas ham ass" (not my words, some other guy). I also drive a '98 civic. You win some, you lose some.

^ I think my high school physics teacher (whom I hated for calling out on picking on people) drove one of those 90CS's.

I don't have a car currently where I live and I feel like a chump. I wouldn't be caught dead driving a local domestic car though so there isn't too much choice unless I pony up some redonkulous price for too little car here. Not driving is killing me though, I'm gonna have to solve this some way or the other.

I wrecked my GS-R early on and replaced it with this in college, which I miss dearly nowadays when I'm clunking along on the subway. :(

Like I said before, I do appreciate cars.

However, this is from a mostly aesthetic point of view.

I just do not like the idea of speeding for the hell of it. Ive had too many friends waste their lives away in a matter of seconds from reckless driving.

This is where it annoys me that I am considered somehow unmanly for being cautious.

Look man, my friends really dont mind my interest in jeans and whatnot, I just dont understand why they tease me so much about it.

Also, my success rate with women is almost double theirs most of the time.

i had an integra type r. it got stolen and chopped in half. thanks for bringing back those memories you fucker!

You guys aren't thinking far back enough here, or never knew to begin with ;) We're talking 1997, 1998, 1999... something tiiiiiite.... barn jackets, timberland, zero fades/asian flat tops, blasting some Tupac in the GS-R off your Alpine CD deck and rolling on the freeway, fuck, I feel old now if you guys aren't understanding this.

Anyhow, to call that GS-R thomas highstreet was too light; still trying to come up with the analogy for this, and seeing if anyone but me remembers. :(

now go build me a treehouse you fucking pussy.

Best comment ever.

BTW I actually dislike cars, renovation, watching sports and all that shit and I never get called a wimp. How about showing some backbone, maybe that would help?

Actually, its funny.... when it comes to women they actually go to me for advice. Fuckers.... i should go tell them to fuck off next time.

^ If I'm ever supposed to contribute to beautifying the human race, I better get on that "impregnate white women and leave them" tip Selegna was on about... jesus christ

Since we are kind of talking about cars in this thread (well not really but we will now), I was digging through the internet recently and found this. Does anyone recognize the sheer magnificence of this besides myself (and the (ex) owner of this car, who is also a SuFu'er)??? This is to import cars what thomas highstreet is to SF...

Hey, I'm new here!

Been lurking around for a month or two. The waywt thread is awesome!

Anyways, have people ever given you wierd vibes? or kinda make fun of you for being into fashion?

Man, i get that shit all the time! To make matters worse, I am not that much into cars. Shit. I would never hear the end of it. My friends drop 50 000$ on cars easy! (what is it about being asian and liking cars!? i'm asian... yet... im just okay with cars) and they give me shit for being a little too enthusiastic in clothing stores.

I mean, i know a couple of guys who are infact into fashion, but also into cars as well. It is as if i get looked down upon for not liking cars... blah

A girl i know once told me.... "You know.... its supposed to be like this: girls like shopping and guys like cars". Grrr

Meh, just ranting....

Would love to hear what you guys think of this.

i guess it is all about priorities. i think that any individual who had the economic means would be enthusiastic about cars. anyone who devotes themselves to fashion even if they are somewhat economically-impaired by a low wage job can buy a couple pieces from time to time (if they don't invest in a car / live in a shitty place).

stop kidding yourself and don't give up on that impossible dream. if you work hard enough, one day you can drive a car that will perhaps compliment your wardrobe.

definitely invest in practicality rather then vanity if you don't persoanlly have the means.

are you the most impeccably dressed guy waiting at the bus stop??

even though this was a rhetorical question, i think this is some of the realest shit ever said on these boards.

that said, that description fits me to a tee. but i don't like driving, just never had much interest in cars to begin with.

jmatsu,

I see where your going at.

Indeed, I am probably the least affluent amongst my peers.

However, I do live a pretty comfortable lifestyle and I am thankful for it.

My parents are professionals and work very hard at what they do.

Most of my peers however, are heirs to CEOs and etc etc.

I can afford a decent car, but def no exotics.

I guess, till i actually attain to their status, will I begin to appreciate cars? (Is this what you mean?) No idea...

I just never found speeding to be that much of a thrill. Alot of my friends have gotten into accidents, I know one that died... and another whose fucked up up there ever since.

Oh well.... Its inconclusive... I guess I'll see when i grow older.

Man...sometimes not having a car is the smartest way to go. If I had one, I couldnt live in the city. I miss driving my Honda a lot...but its worth it to improve my living situation. Someday I will have a better job. And I'll get a car. Until then, since I only really wish I had a car for the sheer awesomeness of driving/working on it, it would be fiscally stupid for me to buy one. Besides, when a girl comes and visits you from the 'burbs, its just as easy to get her soaked in her jeans by hailing cabs to fancy restaurants. Its all situational.
