What's the material like? The reason I ask is because I really need a pair of black April '77s, but I'm not a huge fan of that raw shine, nor am I a fan of the typical stretch denim material.

they're nothing at all like the grey colordrives. the denim is more rigid. seven says they're raw, but i think they're just black jeans with white weft.

the marky has a really high waist though, so you may want the joeys?

Do you have any experience with the High Standards or black colordrives? I'm having a tough time finding satisfactory pictures of the denim. Can you comment on the "rawness" of the black colordrives? I think I've figured out that the High Standard fabric is nothing more than that generic black stretch fabric.
