winters in ny can be great. all the holiday displays and skating rinks open up.

this is true, though the holidays are really tough now for my wife since her father died in 07 and this is the first for me without my grandmother. however, holiday time i go into ny tourist mode and bring the kids to FAO, Macy's, Rock Center for skating, etc.

holidays in NY are unmatched far as i'm concerned.

shalom alecheim. rockefeller center is really nice during winter, but central park is even better, imo. skating rink is cheaper there too. makes for a good date.

Dont even go far uptown in ny around christmas. Shit is ridiculous. The week after christmas i had to get something from saks and i swear to god i could not get out of the store due to how many people there were. It was beyond ridiculous. Christmas eve is always fun to walk around on, though. I was out at rice to riches and soho around 10 pm and it was really really nice. So quiet and peaceful.

Seriously, though. Uptown was fucking awful the one time i went there 2 years ago. My then gf wanted to see the tree against my will, so i went with. Absolutely terrible. So many fat moms with their 7 children all in strollers or wandering around. The moms without strollers should at least get one of those multi-leash dogwalking leashes or something.

Am i the only one who thinks cwg's can get out of hand with facebook? I mean, having conversations via commenting on pictures? Tagging random people in photos when they arent actually in the fucking photo? Stalking people that live in other cities, yet they know their birthday, favorite color, what they did last weekend, and who their best friend and or boyfriend or girlfriend is?

Don't get me wrong, i like facebook, but having 40 emails saying ------ has commented on a photo of you are straight up annoying when the comments don't even relate to the picture.
