My eyes just copped this:

I think the English title is "Shut Up You Fucking Bitch".*

*The Korean title is Ddongpari, but you'd be forgiven for thinking this was the actual title given the number of times it is used throughout the film.

Actually a really excellent (but also hyper-violent) film about domestic violence and it's consequences. Debut directorial and writing effort from Yang Ik-joon.

I only posted more info cos a few people asked about it. I'm not forcing you to read it.

I'm assuming you were being sarcastic but intonation is hard to read on the internet :)

I wasn't being sarcastic, I want to know more about the film, is he beating up his wife the whole movie?

My apologies Sayword. I just checked the IMDB page and there is not too much info there.

It's set in Pusan and focuses on the relationship between a guy who "manages" some young thugs as debt collectors for a loan shark and a schoolgirl he meets who seems to be the only person in the film that shows no fear of him.

We are given his history slowly in a piecemeal fashion (ie, very much from a broken home with his father constantly abusing him, his sister, and his mother). And at the same time we are shown the girl's current situation which isn't too different.

It's a very violent film and we see this guy beat up anyone (women and children included) with no care whatsoever. The Korean word shee-bal(? someone correct me on that) is used as an offensive term pretty much constantly throughout the film meaning that the subtitles are often streams of profanity.

Definitely worth checking out. Not the greatest film you'll ever see but a good watch from a first time writer/director.
