that deal on the frameset rules... so good i might have to bite.

just tried them they are back stocked as well. They said they could get them in a week which I doubt because every Bianchi dealer I've called said mid July.

don't buy anything that can't be trued/salvaged if one part fails... aerospokes look cool but are strictly for showing off.

cxp22s are pretty good quality... or go a step up with open pros. box rims are pretty strong too, if you like the classic look.

Then again, aerospokes are bomb proof.

A guy I know had his ran over by a bus and the thing still spins true.

What would be the essential tools that every biker should have to keep everything runnning smooth? Recomendations on companys of the tools?

Most of the bike mechanics I know use Park tools.

Depending on how much maintenence you really want to do, your tool needs will vary significantly from having a few basic tools and tool sets to having lots of pretty specialized tools. I'd get a good socket set, a good hex set, and whatever wrenches and screwdrivers you need, for starters. And a set of tire levers.

..as if liking quality clothes wasnt a big enough dispensal of my income, now that i've got my bike, i'm looking and thinking of what parts to replace!...it wasnt until now that i understood why so many bikes on ebay are sold without pedals, those are the next thing im switching out, stock plastic ones aren't cutting it. I've been reading, and thinking of getting MKS syvlans/MKS double straps.anyone have a combo that theyve found works great and lasts?

oh man, i know exactly what you mean... it's nice having something new to spend on though instead of the same old. cool learning about something else.

I might be spoiled with how bike friendly chicago is, but i dont have a drivers license, nor enough money for a car.

man, i really do miss riding a bike. when i used to go to davis, bike riding was awesome at night. too bad my first bike there broke, the second one got stolen and so i just grabbed my shitty childhood bike to ride around.
