Me and my mates from Singapore will be hittin' Tokyo for 3 days after our attachment in Oklahoma. I've read up about the internet cafes and love hotels in the forum so I think our accomodation is about set, but I was just wonderin' any Tokyo-supertalkers willin' to show us around the places, how to avoid the tourist traps, where to get good nosh for cheap. I'm dying to have sushi and sashimi! Would be really cool to meet a supetalker too! I love Japan and this is our first trip there. Oh, we're gonna arrive in Tokyo on Christmas. Is that a big deal there? Like festivals and shit? I'm just super excited about the trip. Hope to make friends there!

Thanks for all the replies guys, especially about the concierge but I guess it's kinda my fault that I forgot to mention that we're students and won't be able to afford somethin' like that. I was thinkin' any kind Tokyo guys are willin' to just show us around. We'd probably wouldn't mind buyin' you a meal or whatever, but the main thing here is I just wanna make some friends in Tokyo, maybe become long distance pals or somethin'... lemme know if anyone's interested alright? Thanks for the replies again guys!

By the way, will shops and restaurants be closed on Christmas or Boxing Day or whatever?

my friend used to call christmas the ejaculation day

b/c not only is it a date holiday but christmas is really the "fucking" holiday.

you have to book hotels months in advance...

wayne, serious?

I live in Seoul, been here for about 4 years or so. I would probably make a good tour guide for this city as that is what I do for free for people anyway. I know where to get everything buyable with money in this city really, and where it's best... I will hit you up...

The tokyo thing was half-serious...

^Think I was in America while you were here... I took a brief hiatus from Seoul to graduate school back home between 7/04 to 9/05.. :D

Anyhow, I'm sticking around here for awhile now, so there's always a next time....
